Almira group of companies
is a vertically integrated dairy holding

Founded in 1998, it was a collection of milk processing facilities dating back to the Soviet era. Since then major investments in equipment and product development have changed not only the face but the strategy of the company. From a local manufacturer of traditional dairy products Almira has grown to be Ukraine’s largest exporter of dairy products produced according to international standards. We solely own and operate 7 milk processing plants and 6 trading companies.

Our enterprises are located in environmentally favorable region of Ukraine (Poltava region) and specialize in production of cheese, cheese products, butter, spreads and condensed canned milk.  On top of that, we produce dairy products for food industry such as whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder and demineralized cheese whey.  All enterprises of our holding are certified in compliance with national and international quality standards (ISO 9001-2009 HALAL, HACCP, EAC, ISO 22000:2005). Moreover our factories  are equipped with our own mini-labs that guarantee the quality of our main ingredient: milk. Besides, a closed-cycle production gives us complete control over the quality of our products and allows us to instantly respond to any trends and changes in the world dairy market.  

Almira takes an undisputed lead among Ukrainian exporters to the neighboring countries and beyond.  Broad geography of our trade relations includes:  Poland, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Mongolia, Syria, Israel, Tunisia, Libya, Afghanistan, Algeria, UAE, Vietnam, Japan, USA, Mexico, Egypt, etc.  It became a tradition that our companies are annually awarded golden medals as Exporter of the Year. `

Cheese

One can hardly imagine any cooking area in which cream butter would not take one of the dominant positions. A unique set of important vitamins and elements contained in this product make it indispensable for a healthy human body. Certainly, when the quality milk, best creams and traditional recipes are used to produce cream butter. We produce high quality sweet cream butter from cow's milk in compliance with DSTU with fat content 82%, 82.5%, 72.5%, 73%. We use advanced whipping techniques and best raw materials. Packing - 200 g (butter in boxes, 20 sticks each) and monolith.

Condensed Milk

Condensed milk has been a favorite sweet for many generations.  Somebody likes condensed milk boiled, others like cream, still others like it skimmed. Though, we call all those products a condensed milk. We offer a variety of canned milk of European production, in compliance with DSTU. But the most important thing is that one can always say about our canned milk with confidence:  this is a true condensed milk.

Milk Powder

Powdered milk products produced by our companies are literally irreplaceable in many industries. They have unique compositions of minerals and vitamins, feature valuable flavor characteristics and retain their properties over time. Whole milk powder is the basis for production of dairy products and deserts. Skimmed milk powder thanks to low fat content is known as excellent diet food. At the same time, both types of milk powder is the basis for the entire confectionery industry. Demineralized whey powder 40% is required to produce animal feed and pharmaceuticals. Protein concentrates, for instance, protein whey concentrate KSB-UF, are quite popular with athletes thanks to high content of protein.

Gulfood Manufacturing 2016. Confidence for the best.

No doubt, for food and processing business operators of the Middle East and Africa region, Gulfood Manufacturing is the most important event. This is a landmark annual event with more than 20 years of history. This exhibition is equally popular among the visitors from the countries in the region. The reason is that more than 90% of food products in the Persian Gulf countries are being imported. Taking into account that re-export to the United Arab Emirates totals more than $15 billion, it is quite logical that Gulfood literally becomes  a "bull's eye" that only a lazy person does not dream to hit. To give you an understanding of the scope, it is sufficed to say that 2015 Gulfood Manufacturing was attended by 1461 exhibitors from 58 countries. 28 national pavilions were presented. Exhibition was attended by more than 30,000 experts from 158 countries. This year's event will be held, as always, in Dubai since 7th till 9th of November 2016.

Actually, it is not surprising that Ukrainian food producers stick a bull's eye on 2016 Gulfood Manufacturing. Economic situation in the country is unstable, to put it mildly.  Many of the powerful producers are significantly losing potential. While others have disappeared from the market. Under these circumstances, Gulfood Manufacturing is a very good chance to promote Ukrainian food products abroad.

It's not the first time that Almira will participate in this exhibition. For us, who always look to the future with optimism, this is another step in the promotion strategy for our exports. Thanks to this strategy, we maintain our leading position among Ukrainian exporters with confidence. We are known and appreciated in many countries. To some extent, we set the trends in the format of the exhibition participation and create image of Ukrainian economy in the eyes of the foreign partners.

This time Almira exhibition stand will not offer new trade marks. We will present the same product range. This is also an element of the strategy intended to support our reputation as that of the reliable producer that focuses its efforts not on the number of new brands, but on the quality of the product itself. Even more so that existing range of products is quite wide and justified. At the same time, we intend to promote the production under the brand names of our clients that we purport to find during this event.

In general, Almira is on high alert. Both internal and external mechanisms of our company are in optimum state. The most important thing is that we managed until now to avoid any recessionary trends; by far not all Ukrainian producers managed to escape them. If so, 2016 Gulfood Manufacturing could strengthen positions of the company even further. And by doing so, make a worthy contribution to the strengthening of the national economy.

From May 30 to June 2, 2016 Almira group participated in the exhibition Iran Food and Hospitality Expo 2016, which took place in Teheran, the capital of Iran. This exhibition is one of the key expo-events in Iran, regularly held here since 1991. Almira group displayed its products in Iran before, at the exhibition in 2014. However, this time our participation was much more serious and promising. The fact is that we were presented as a part of Ukrainian national stand. On the one hand, it means that “Almira” products received an extra bonus for promotion on Iranian market, but on the other hand, it imposes a much higher responsibility on us. Actually, it’s one thing to speak on one’s own behalf, but an entirely different thing to speak on behalf of the whole country. Nevertheless, our participation was a success. Both the quality of our products and an impressive and catching design of the Ukrainian stand contributed to our success.

It should be specifically noted that Iranian market is particularly promising for our dairy products in this particular moment. Firstly, Iran is the tenth global milk market and growing. This is a very important factor for Ukrainian dairy producers who lost their sales market in Russia. However, up to the present time, Iran was subject to sanctions that severely limited import of the wide range of our products. Nevertheless, Ukraine delivered un-prohibited products to Iran, namely: cereal crops, fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin. According to the Office for National Statistics, as of 1 January 2015, Iran ranked 18th among countries exporting Ukrainian products.

But, lately, as a result of positive dynamics of the dialogue between Iran and the western world, the existing sanctions have been gradually watered down. There is a true prospect of their total lifting, shall Iran observe the nuclear program agreement. It was this fact that prompted maximum concentration of our efforts for effective development of potential market with the widest range of our products. Aside from this, the fact that Almira was presented as a part of the national stand, excellently characterized both the company and its products.

Actually, excellent prospects for entering the new market are proved by the results of taste and laboratory testing of our products. Thus, in particular, we offer Iranian market the highest quality butter, which was duly appreciated by the leading experts of the exhibition. Our butter meets all technological requirements as well as expectations of this market consumer in terms of taste qualities of the product.

Almira’s participation in the key international exhibitions has already become a tradition. The tradition, which, against all odds, we are going to carry on in future. As a part of the national stand, our company plans to participate in some major exhibitions in France, Germany, Arab Emirates and other countries. Undoubtedly, the fact that Almira will officially represent Ukraine on the international arena is the best illustration of our success in production, management and marketing. Not without vanity we can consider ourselves one of the best enterprises in Ukraine. It’s not only very honorable, but it involves a great deal of responsibility as well. That is why we are going to put all our efforts to identify all our best qualities in the eyes of International Community with Ukraine as a whole.

Gulfood 2016, international food and beverage trade show will take place on 21 - 25 February 2016 in Dubai (UAE). This is the biggest exhibition of its kind in the Persian Gulf countries. World leading food producers seek to participate in this show. And it's quite natural. Firstly, this market is characterized by high purchasing power of its consumers. Second, this market is dominated by the imported goods. Consequently, sales have a very high potential. Despite the local nature of this event, participation in Gulfood is considered to be highly prestigious. Almira will take part in Gulfood 2016 (Stand No. ZP-A61, Za’abeel Hall).

As you know, last year was quite complicated for the Ukrainian economy, in general, and for Almira, in particular. We lost the Russian market that consumed the biggest share of our products. Our company was forced to seek ways to overcome this crisis in extremely difficult conditions. We invested a lot of efforts which, eventually, yielded results. For example, by the end of 2015, Almira among the few Ukrainian dairy holdings was granted permission to trade with China. At the beginning of this year, we got an opportunity to export to EU. It is a well known fact that getting permission to trade with EU is a very complicated procedure. Company shall pass the evaluation by the independent commission. This implies that the company shall meet high standards of organization of production, technical regulations and other requirements. Nevertheless, thanks to the timely investment of impressive amount of funds into comprehensive upgrade of production as well as due to engagement of highly qualified experts, at the end of 2015 Almira succeeded in gaining access to the European markets.

As for the markets of the Arab countries, they are very promising for Ukrainian companies. After all, at present this market is by two-thirds consuming imported goods. At the same time, large portion of these products is coming from very far abroad. While the Ukrainian producers are virtually “around the corner”.  It should be noted that participation in the Gulfood 2015 allowed our company to enter the new market with our Dairy Gifts TM, in particular, with our dairy and canned products. At present, we are drafting contracts to supply butter and spreads.

The trend of growing interest to Almira milk products gives us hope for successful development of markets in the Arab countries. At the same time, it gives us confidence in potential expansion of the export markets, in general. Most importantly, the success story of the slow-paced but stable development of one Ukrainian company is yet another proof that the entire domestic economy is facing open doors on the way to success. All you need is a little patience, professionalism and entrepreneurial courage.

We barely had time to catch our breath after the October`s Anuga Dairy exhibition in Cologne, and to analyze the results of participation, like a trumpet calling again to the campaign - go ahead to conquer new business peaks. At this time, Almira goes to China, to the exhibition World of Food Beijing in 2015, which, incidentally, is also carrying out under the auspices of Anuga. We must say that Almira will participate for the second time in this exhibition. However, what happened the past year, and what will be this - as they say in Odessa - two big differences. And here's the thing.

In early October of this year, one of the key enterprises of Almira Group of Companies, LLC "Tehmolprom" was included in the list of Ukrainian dairy producers which have access to the Chinese market. The Chinese market! Almost half a billion potential consumers! Should we say anything else? Therefore, if the last time we attended the World of Food Beijing as scouts, monitoring and analyzing the Chinese market up and down, but current year our plans have changed. Now we are going to conclude contracts, to conduct business negotiations, to talk about the specifics, to develop and to grow. Surely,such prospects are very encouraging, especially considering the fact that for the Ukrainian economy such opportunity is like a breath of fresh air so desirable and necessary in the current difficult time for the country.

The exhibition World of Food Beijing is the annual largest event for the Chinese food market. In 2015 it will run for three days from 18 to 20 November. Approximately 30,000 m2 are devoted for the exhibition, of which 22 thousand directly for the exhibition area, and about 8 thousand for the conference zone. This year 542 exhibitors will take part in the exhibition and 232 of them are foreign companies from 23 countries: Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, the USA, Argentina Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong. Besides the exhibits at World of Food Beijing, different conferences, seminars, business classes and cooking shows will be held.

We are very serious about effective development of the Chinese market, so preparing for this show very carefully. Despite the fact that the preparation time is almost gone. Nevertheless, we are confident that the World of Food Beijing 2015 will be a significant event in our business, and will make a significant contribution to the economy of Ukraine.

Almira is set to participate in ANUGA 2015 which will take place in Cologne (Germany) from 10 to 14 October 2015. 

Anuga is the world's leading food trade fair for companies producing food products, semi-finished products, additives, etc. In fact, participation in Anuga is like an admission to "big food business" on a global scale. It's like a milestone attesting the success and positive business dynamics of the companies that take part in this trade show.  Besides of that purely image-building element, Anuga is a rich source of business information. Anuga is about establishing beneficial communications channels, searching for the best possible business decisions and production solutions and, finally, getting the maximum benefit for the business from direct contacts. It is important to mention, that the Organizers spare neither efforts nor resources: informational, technological and service support earn the highest possible praise. Consequently, participation in Anuga is a perfect combination of efficient work, effective education and complete refreshment.

Anuga is so big that each field of food industry has its own trade show specially equipped. For example, Almira stand will be located in Hall 10.1 of Anuga Dairy fair. Anuga Dairy is the leading international fair for the milk and dairy industry. In 2015, Anuga fair will feature more than 380 exhibitors  with display area of 23,000 m². The list of companies that will take part in this fair is impressive. You would be able to visit stands of Alpro, Delizia, Ehrmann, Emmi, Fage Dairy, Fayrefield Foods, Hochwald Foods, Zanetti, etc. Geography of participants spans a lot of countries: Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Greece, Argentina, Thailand, Australia and others. No doubt, only at Anuga Dairy you would be able to see the whole picture of the global milk market.

It should be noted that it is the first time Almira takes part in Anuga Dairy. We were getting ready to it thoroughly and with thrill. No wonder that success in such a major event would open the doors to the key global markets. To that end, Almira engaged top level creative designers to construct an exhibition stand. Moreover, in September we are going to launch a corporate web-site www.almira-group.com, an additional promotional tool for the visitors of the show. When designing it, we paid a special attention to make it easy and simple to use which are key requirements of our customers.

Our stand will feature the key product mix of our company: canned milk, cheese, cream butter, spreads, powdered milk products. In addition to already well-known trademarks, we shall present the new ones: Almira TM and Sweet-Tooth TM that were positively appraised by consumers at the previous AB7 show in Johannesburg (RSA).

We hope that Anuga Dairy 2015 will become another milestone in the process of development of our company which is among the top dairy producers in Ukraine and is an undisputed leader among the exporters of dairy products. For example, in H1 2015 Almira accounted for 24.11% of the total dairy output in Ukraine, 32.05% of the total output of condensed milk, 17.55% of the total output of spreads and 18.59% of the total output of cream butter.

Export numbers for the same period are more impressive even:

Almira accounted for 48 % of the total export. Obviously, the numbers say it all. It seems reasonable, that we want these numbers to keep on getting bigger. This is the ultimate goal of our participation in Anuga Dairy 2015.

This is the major annual food industry event on the African continent that attracts more than 300 companies from all over the world. This grand event features a wide assortment of products – from classical specimens to exotic delicacies. Alongside with specific exhibition activity, thematic forums will be held and discussion panels organized. Major world manufacturers and distributors of the products introduced at RSA market will hold professional master-classes and seminars for general publiAlmira group has been working successfully with the African market for a number of years and has now all prerequisites for its ultimate conquest. In 2015, the 30th anniversary exhibition Gulfood-2015 will take place in Dubai from 8th till 12th of February. This is the world’s largest annual exhibition of  food products, HoReCa equipment and gastronomy in the Persian Gulf countries. Since the vast majority of food and equipment in this region are imported, it attracts an ultimate attention of the major global exporters in this segment. If you imagine 9-digit sums of  imported food products, you can easily guess that being the participant at Gulfood is a tempting idea worth a lot of efforts. Indeed, many of those who want to participate at this exhibition sometimes have to wait for several years. However, Almira, the largest Ukrainian holding, will exhibit in Gulfood-2015. The Organizers recognized it worth to allocate exhibition space to Ukrainian company.
